LabVIEW driver preview

With the release of openDAQ 3.30, a work-in-progress version of the openDAQ LabVIEW driver is now available. It demonstrates basic integration of the openDAQ C bindings into LabVIEW, including simple examples for device discovery, connection, and signal visualization.

The LabVIEW integration is currently under active development, with this release serving as an alpha preview of the final product. The finished version will include a VI library and examples that enable key openDAQ operations:

  • Discovering and connecting to openDAQ devices
  • Configuring devices
  • Manipulating openDAQ components
  • Reading data of any signal type using the stream or multi reader

The driver was developed with LabVIEW 2024 on Windows.
To install it, extract the attached opendaq-3.30.0-labview.zip archive into LabVIEW’s instr.lib folder.

The openDAQ LabVIEW driver is being developed in collaboration with MS+D GmbH.

Rebuilding openDAQ

Due to a change in mdns library patches, the build directory (or more specifically, the mdns external sources) needs to be deleted before rebuilding the repository.
