Introducing: the openDAQ Workshop

We are preparing the first openDAQ Hands-on Workshop: a practical workshop for teams that want to learn how to use openDAQ in real projects.
The workshop will focus on two main ways openDAQ can be used.
For hardware vendors, openDAQ provides a way to make devices discoverable, configurable, and accessible through a common interface.
For test engineers and system integrators, openDAQ provides a way to work with openDAQ-compatible devices more efficiently — by building scripts, GUI applications, dashboards, and automated workflows that can discover, configure, and stream data from compatible devices.
Depending on participant interest, the workshop may be organized as one combined programme or as separate tracks for device integration and application development.
What you will learn
Device integration
Learn the core openDAQ architecture and the steps needed to integrate openDAQ into a hardware product.
The practical part will show how a device can expose its structure, configuration, and measurement data through the openDAQ model. Participants will also work with real hardware and turn a Raspberry Pi provided by us into a working openDAQ-compatible device.
Application development
Learn how to use the openDAQ API to create applications that can discover, configure, and stream data from openDAQ-compatible devices.
The practical part may include scripts, simple GUI applications, or data acquisition workflows that use openDAQ-compatible devices in a vendor-independent way.
Data handling and signal processing
Learn how to work with time-aligned data and extend openDAQ applications with custom function blocks for signal processing and analysis.
Why join?
The workshop offers a practical way to evaluate openDAQ for your organization and understand how it could fit into your products, software, and development processes.
For hardware vendors, this means understanding what it takes to bring a device into the openDAQ ecosystem.
For test engineers and system integrators, this means learning how openDAQ-compatible devices can simplify application development, automation, and multi-device measurement workflows.
Participants will also receive early access to practical examples, reference material, and guidance designed to help them reach their openDAQ goals faster and more efficiently.
