Stuttgart ATE! Again!
Stuttgart in May? Must be time for the Automotive Testing Expo, of course! Once again, the openDAQ crew rolled into town to reconnect with friends, demo fresh innovations, and fuel up on kaiserschmarrn. ATE remains one of the best places to gauge the pulse of the T&M industry, and this year’s event didn't disappoint. More plugged-in than ever, ATE 2025 was the perfect stage to show how openDAQ is redefining data acquisition in automotive testing.
What We Showcased – Live Demos, Real Devices, No Smoke and Mirrors
At our booth, we didn’t just talk—we showed. openDAQ powered live data streams from a (barely functioning) toy car, using an impressive mix of devices by HBK, Dewesoft, STAR, and Intrepid. Attendees saw seamless integration between hardware that normally doesn’t speak the same language, with openDAQ serving as the polyglot. Whether you were a DAQ veteran or a first-time explorer, the demos made one thing clear: interoperability isn’t a future goal—it’s here, now, and open-source.
Keynote Talk – Open Source, Open Roads
Our PM Dušan Kalanj took the stage for a keynote that packed both insight and honesty. He walked the audience through the role open source can play in de-risking innovation, especially when building test systems that need to evolve faster than production vehicles themselves. Dušan made the case that openDAQ isn’t just useful—it’s necessary for what’s next in automotive R&D.
Connections – A Surge in Membership Interest
Beyond the buzz of the booth and the bright lights of the demo station, something even more important happened: conversations. Lots of them. We welcomed many newcomers into the openDAQ ecosystem, and fielded a wave of new membership interest from visitors and exhibitors alike. A few of these even made it official (we like to think the Kaiserschmarrn helped). The momentum around openDAQ is real, and we’re excited to continue growing this community.
Next Up – Toulouse and Detroit, Here We Come
If you missed us in Stuttgart, don’t worry—we’re just getting started. This autumn we’ll be at Aerospace Testing in Toulouse (hopefully it will still be summertime there), and then it’s off to ATE Detroit. Same mission: show how openDAQ makes T&M faster, more flexible, and finally interoperable. New demos, new faces, and probably more baked goods.
📌 Until then, follow us at opendaq.com or on LinkedIn for the latest updates. And since you've made this far, see below just how well openDAQ sells itself (there's a little bit of context missing, but it wouldn't be fun to explain it).
