The openDAQ membership model

The openDAQ SDK is an open-source project licensed under the Apache 2.0 license. Anyone can use the openDAQ SDK independently without any affiliation with openDAQ d.o.o. We warmly invite everyone to join the openDAQ community as a member by choosing one of the membership options below.The membership model accommodates different levels of engagement, from free community participation to premium support and integration services. By becoming a member you contribute to the growth of openDAQ and gain access to a network of professionals dedicated to driving technological progress.

Community membership

Free

Community membership is free. Members take full responsibility for using and integrating the code into their products.

Premium members integrate openDAQ deeply into their products and applications and receive priority support to meet their development goals and timelines.

  • Access to the private issue tracking system for bugs, questions and feedback

Diamond membership is designed for members deeply engaged in integrating the openDAQ SDK into their products and applications that want personalised full-time development support from openDAQ.

Do we have to pay to use openDAQ?
No. The SDK is licensed under Apache 2.0 and anyone can use it without any affiliation with openDAQ d.o.o. Membership adds guidance, product testing in the compliance lab, priority maintenance and dedicated engineering on top of free use.
Which membership level fits us?
Community suits companies that integrate openDAQ on their own. Advanced suits a single application or device that must interoperate with other openDAQ solutions. Premium suits companies that integrate openDAQ deeply across several products. Diamond adds one full-time engineer from openDAQ dedicated to your requirements.
How is the Diamond fee set?
Requests for Diamond membership are sent to info@opendaq.com and approved by openDAQ management. The Diamond membership fee is set in advance for each year by the Board of Directors.
Can we add services to a membership?
Yes. Pay-as-you-go services such as additional product testing, software support and training can be added to any membership level. Advanced and Premium members pay lower rates than the community.
How long does a membership run?
A membership is valid for 365 days from its start date and can be renewed each year. Membership fees are paid annually in advance and are not refundable in the event of resignation.
Can academic institutions participate?
Yes. Academic users and open-source projects use the SDK, documentation and community freely through Community membership.
